About Meredith

Meredith McKown is an authentic, enthusiastic, and people-centered photographer based in Charlottesville, Virginia, with more than a decade of professional photography experience. Photography became her second career after 16 years as a labor and delivery nurse—an experience that continues to shape the empathy, sensitivity, and purpose she brings to her work.

Meredith is passionate about witnessing beautiful, genuine moments and creating an environment where people can feel comfortable being themselves. She believes in honoring the truth of who people are while inviting them to see themselves in a new way. Her work is rooted in human connection, trust, and the privilege of documenting life's beginnings, milestones, magic, and everything in between.

Meredith is also the founder and director of Love Connect Tend, a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening love and connection in communities.
