Sherri McKinney-Frantz

Sherri McKinney-Frantz has dedicated her life to serving kids and families who have experienced significant trauma. She holds a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Malone University, a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Cincinnati and has been a licensed social worker since 1989. Before moving to Charlottesville, Virginia in 2020, Sherri worked at various organizations in Stark County and was in leadership roles for over 20 years. Sherri is currently the CEO of Blue Ridge CASA for Children in Staunton, Virginia.

Sherri values relationships. She enjoys mentoring and empowering others; encouraging and supporting them to dream big and succeed. Her goal has been consistent throughout her career, meeting the needs of children and family to break the cycle of abuse and trauma.

Sherri and her husband, Larry, helped raise 5 children. They learned first-hand as foster parents what it is like to be in the trenches with youth who are suffering. Now empty-nesters, they love to travel, hike, and play board games. Sherri is an avid reader and gardener, loves essential oils and enjoys using them to make lotions and potions.
